We build the POS we wished existed.
Next Experience is an Australian software company building retail point of sale that runs in the browser, checks out in milliseconds and keeps trading when the internet does not. We started because retail software had stopped respecting the people who use it.
01 The story
Retail software forgot the counter.
Point of sale became a checkbox on an enterprise feature list. We think it is the most important screen in the store.
Walk into most shops and you will find a brilliant team working around their software. Tills that take seconds to respond. Stocktakes that eat weekends. Reports that arrive days after the decision they were meant to inform. Hardware contracts that cost more than the margin they protect.
We had watched retailers put up with this for years, and the excuses never improved. So we built Next Experience from the counter backwards: a point of sale that runs locally for speed, lives in the browser for freedom, and reports in real time because your numbers should move when your store does.
Today Next Experience runs sales, inventory, stocktakes, customers and reporting for retailers who want their software to keep pace with their floor. The checkout is the start, not the whole story.

Every second a till hesitates, a customer waits and a staff member apologises. We treat latency as a bug, not a benchmark. That is why the till runs locally and every tap lands in under 50 milliseconds.

Proprietary terminals are a tax on retailers. Next Experience runs in the browser on the tablets, desktops and laptops you already own, and connects to the printers, scanners and pinpads you choose.
Simple pricing, no fine print
One platform rate of 2.5% of turnover, billed monthly. Unlimited users, unlimited devices, unlimited support. No per-till fees, no surprise line items, no lock-in.
Software should keep improving
The product you sign up for is not the product you will have next quarter. We ship constantly, and every store gets the improvements without an upgrade project.
03 How we work
Close to the floor, quick to respond.
We are a small team, and we like it that way. It keeps us close to the retailers we build for.
Feature requests come from real counters, not roadmap theatre. When a retailer tells us a flow costs them time on a busy Saturday, that feedback reaches the people writing the code, usually the same week.
Support works the same way. Unlimited phone and email support is included with every account, because a till question during trade is urgent by definition. You talk to people who know the product, not a script.
And because Next Experience is web-based, every improvement we ship reaches every store immediately. No upgrade projects, no version lag, no paying again for the software you already bought.
